The country is divided into 16 administrative districts which are divided into 10 rural and 6 urban ones. They are called the Central, Ghanzi, Kgalagadi, Kgatleng, Kweneng, North-East, Ngamiland, South-East, Southern and the Chobe Districts respectively. Botswana is the 47th-largest country in the world which also house the largest inland delta in the world the Okavango Delta. It also has a large salt pan, the Makgadikgadi Pan. The natural landscape and configuration of the country makes it one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Africa.

As with most countries in Africa, there are an abundance of wildlife and natural attractions in Botswana. There are the delta, desert, grassland and savannas where there are rich wildlife like birds, antelopes, the Blue Wildebeest are naturally living in. The endangered African Wild Dog lives in the northern areas of the country, which is one of the few places on earth it is found. The largest concentration place of African elephants are found at the Chobe National Park, which together with the Moremi Game Reserve are 2 of the main tourist attractions here. Other attractions here include the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park as well as the Mashatu Game Reserves respectively.
